Do CleanCut products work on different tub materials?
Yes. They can be installed on common porcelain, fiberglass, steel and cast-iron tubs. Professional installation is recommended for cast iron.
Can I keep the ability to take a full bath?
Yes. The CleanCut Convertible uses a removable watertight insert so the tub can switch between a lower step-in opening and full-bath use.
How quickly do DIY orders ship?
Orders are processed on business days and are generally dispatched within 24 business hours. Transit time depends on the Canadian destination.
How do I know what size to order?
Use the sizing video and measurement guide, then compare your measurements with the product requirements. Contact us with photos and measurements if you are unsure.
How much will a CleanCut product lower my entry height?
Approximate material removed: Step 8 inches, Convertible 8 inches, Deep Step 10.5 inches and Ultra-Low 13.25 inches.
Do I buy the kit before calling an installer?
Not when using one of the independent CleanCut installers. Their quote can include both the product and installation. Buy a DIY kit only if you or your own contractor will install it.
How much does professional installation cost?
Independent installers set their own pricing based on the tub, product and local conditions. Use the installer lookup to request an all-in quote.
Technical FAQs
Can CleanCut be installed on a cast-iron tub?
Yes, but cutting cast iron is more demanding, so professional installation is recommended.
What tools are typically used to cut the tub?
Installers commonly use a side grinder for entry cuts, a reciprocating saw for the main cuts and a jigsaw to trim the CleanCut product. Cast iron uses a diamond-blade grinder.
What are CleanCut inserts made from?
The inserts are made from durable composite polyethylene plastic.
What if my tub has sliding shower doors?
The doors need to be removed before installation and normally are replaced with a shower curtain and rod.
Can a garden-style tub be modified?
Sometimes. Garden tubs vary widely, so send photos and measurements for a fit review before ordering.
Can CleanCut be installed over a bathtub liner?
It is not recommended because the original tub material and liner condition may be unknown and cutting can loosen or damage the liner.
What if my bathtub wall is curved or contoured?
The CleanCut product is trimmed during installation to follow the existing inside and outside tub profile.
Can CleanCut be installed on a jetted tub?
It is not recommended because water lines for the jets may be located inside the wall being cut.
Will it work on a clawfoot tub?
No. CleanCut products require a conventional tub wall with inside and outside surfaces extending down toward the floor.

Can a senior-care facility have its own maintenance team install CleanCut?
Yes. Facilities can purchase kits for their own qualified maintenance staff or use an independent installer. Training and sizing resources are available for both approaches.
